When my dear friend Kadi asked me if Kyle and I wanted to model for her in the desert I happily agreed! We decided on shooting at the base of the Superstition Mountains, since none of us had ever been, and wow did it make for an extraordinary backdrop.
I wore a flowy copper dress and paired it with some black booties and a hat. I am so grateful I wore booties instead of heels. We were running around like crazy chasing light, dodging cacti, and playing with the amazing smoke bombs that Kadi brought — definitely wouldn’t have been able to do that all in heels!
This sunset shoot actually took place 2 days before we moved — talk about the perfect final goodbye to our desert home! We had a blast shooting in the middle of the desert surrounded by magnificent saguaros. Looking at all these beautiful photos really makes me miss Arizona, especially when its so frigid here in D.C. Check out more of Kadi’s work here if you’re interested in an amazing photographer.
